Extraction method
Look for 'cold-pressed' or 'first cold-press.' Heat- or solvent-extracted oil is cheaper to produce but loses much of its polyphenol and vitamin E content in the process.

Cold-pressing is labour-intensive — it takes roughly 30kg of fruit to produce one litre of oil. A large bottle priced very low is unlikely to be pure, single-origin argan oil.
